Brandeis grad starts social justice work

"Annie Fortnow is one of 20 recent graduates devoting the next two years of her life to Hillel student engagement through the Hillel International Springboard Fellowship. Armed with a 2017 Brandeis University degree – a double major in environmental studies and health: science, society and policy and a double minor in social justice and social policy and economics – Fortnow started her fellowship as a social justice specialist at University of Massachusetts Amherst here in July.
“I’ve always had a real connection to helping others and wanting to improve the world,” Fortnow said. “I think that comes a lot of from my Jewish values."
