Nadav Tamir - Consul General of Israel to New England
will speak on "Israel in a Changing Middle East"

Consul General Nadav Tamir was born and raised on Kibbutz Manara in northern Israel. Following his military service with the rank of Major, and earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Political Science from the Hebrew Uni-versity of Jerusalem, Consul General Tamir joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993. Promoted to the position of Political Officer at the Embassy in Washington, D.C. in 1997, he worked closely with the State Department and the National Security Council. In 2001, he became Advisor to the Director
General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, where he specialized in Israeli-U.S. relations.

After earning his Master’s in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, he returned to Israel and resumed his post in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Advisor to the Director General where he served until his appointment to the position of Consul General of Israel to New England
